The lakeside Shiva temple at the heart of the precinct — today honoured as Sri Kashi Vishwanath Shakti Peeth. Daily abhishek and the great rites of Maha Shivratri are centred here.

The tallest statue in Mauritius — Lord Shiva with trishula, welcoming pilgrims on the yatra path. A replica of the Sursagar Shiva of Vadodara, Gujarat.

Around the crater lake

Along the walkways stand shrines and murthis that complete the pilgrimage — Ganga, Hanuman, Ganesh, Lakshmi and companion deities — so that the lake holds the full presence of the tradition.
